We’re delighted to share that Electric Ireland has been named Best Electricity Provider 2026 at the Bonkers.ie Awards. This recognition reflects a year of progress focused on delivering exceptional value, improving how customers interact with us, and continuing to support communities nationwide.

The award celebrates the commitment we’ve made to providing stable, competitive pricing; investing in innovative tools and smart solutions; and making it easier than ever for customers to manage their energy.

Why We Won

The judging panel highlighted several key strengths that set Electric Ireland apart this year:

Leading Value and Stable Pricing

  • Three price reductions since November 2023, totalling 19.34%, saving customers up to €376.
  • A full price freeze throughout 2025, helping protect households from volatility and keeping Electric Ireland’s Standard Variable Tariff the lowest among major suppliers.

A Simpler, More Helpful Customer Experience

  • We’ve continued to make improvements across our services and tools so customers can get what they need quickly, easily and with confidence.

A Market‑Leading Digital Experience

  • The Electric Ireland App now supports over 1.1 million customers, offering easier account management, usage insights and more.

Ireland’s Strongest Smart Tariff Range

  • Our smart plans offer energy insights, personalised forecasting, and flexible options, helping customers use energy more efficiently and save.

Supporting Communities Nationwide

  • From enabling 120,000 participants to take part in Darkness Into Light, to delivering youth and wellbeing programmes across the country, our community impact continues to grow.
