How do I adjust an estimated bill?

If you received an estimated bill and you wish to adjust it, you can submit your own meter reading to correct it - in either of the following scenarios:

  • If the reading on your estimated bill is significantly higher or lower than your actual bill. You then need to submit your own meter reading and, where appropriate, we’ll issue a new bill based on your reading.

    or

  • If the ESB Networks meter reader did not gain access to your home’s meter box and left a card. Then you can submit a meter reading with ESB Networks online or by calling 1850 33 77 77. But you must do this within 24 hours of their visit.
