ESB Staff “Choose Paperless” promotion Terms & Conditions - Effective 27th November 2025

1. The promoter is Customer and Commercial Strategy, Electric Ireland, Swift Square, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9. Electric Ireland is a division of the Electricity Supply Board. (hereinafter “the Promoter”).

Fulfilment partner: www.buyapowa.com, U1, F11 Bell Yard Mews, London UK, SE1 3TN will fulfil delivery of the prize vouchers (hereinafter “the fulfilment partner”) Prize vouchers from www.tesco.ie.

2. The Promotion is a competition to win one of ten €150 www.tesco.ie vouchers for staff who switch to paperless billing for their Electric Ireland electricity and or gas bills.

3. Only one prize voucher per staff member.

4. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Promotion and/or these Terms and Conditions.

5. ESB staff who switch to paperless billing during this period will be deemed to have accepted, and be bound by, these Terms and Conditions.

6. ESB staff do not qualify for the 0.5% e-billing discount as it affects ESB staff discount.

7. To qualify for the Promotion: The participant must be a member of ESB Staff.

8. In the event of any dispute regarding this Promotion the decision of the Promoter will be final.


Promotion Entries

  • How to register for an online account.
  • Only registered, activated online accounts, with paperless billing option selected will be considered for the Promotion.
  • Entries must be submitted between 1 December 2025 and 31 December 2025.
 

Prize Winners

  • Ten winners will be randomly selected from a report of all staff who switched to paperless billing from 1 December 2025 to 31 December 2025.
  • The winners will be notified by the email address used to register for online billing.
 

Prizes consist of

  • A €150.00 Tesco.ie online voucher will be sent to ten winners, by email by the fulfilment partner. Winners will receive 2 emails: 1st email will request the winner to activate their prize voucher, and the 2nd email will contain their prize voucher.
  • Prizes may be subject to change.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted, declines the prize, or should the prize remain unclaimed for 14 days, it will lapse, and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and NO CASH ALTERNATIVES OR REFUNDS WILL BE OFFERED.
  • Prize winners shall be notified by email within 30 days of the competition closing using the registered email address on your account online as provided by you.
  • Winners’ names will be shared with ESB payroll to comply with Benefit in Kind tax purposes.

Data Protection

  • Data collected for this Promotion will be used in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and not for any other purpose.
  • Data collected from competition entrants will be stored on secure servers for no longer than 60 days. Data used for the competition to identify competition entrants will be deleted once a winner is selected and once that winner has confirmed their acceptance of that prize.
  • Data belonging to competition winners will be used to contact them in relation to the prize and to administer the prize. Data will be held in accordance with the Electric Ireland  Privacy Policy.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by Irish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
