How do I apply for the Energy Efficiency Incentive discount and how will I know when I receive it?

You don’t have to do a thing! Once the energy saving work is finished and paid for, your Energy Efficiency Partner will submit your details to Electric Ireland. This will include your account number and your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN).

We’ll then send you a confirmation email (if you have provided an email address) or letter when we have received your details.

If your confirmation email or letter states that your credit will be different to your quote from the Energy Efficiency Partner, please contact the Energy Efficiency Partner to verify the works they have submitted for approval.

Your energy efficiency credit will be processed (this typically takes 10 days), and the credit amount will be deducted from your next Electric Ireland bill. If your next bill is issued within ten days of the job being submitted, it may not appear on this bill, but on the following.

It will appear on your statement as ‘Energy Efficiency - Credit,' with the discounted amount beside it.

If the amount is not what was confirmed in the email or letter sent to you, contact our customer services department to clarify the issue.
