The Department of Social Protection has a number of qualifying conditions for eligibility for the Free Gas Allowance.

The Natural Gas Allowance is an alternative to the Electricity Allowance for people whose homes are connected to a Natural Gas supply. If you’re in receipt of this allowance, a cash credit of €35.00 will be automatically applied to your bill every month.
