Replacing your Gas boiler

If you’re like most businesses, gas use for heating, hot-water generation or other gas appliances will account for a significant proportion of your energy costs. The safe and efficient operation of these systems and appliances can save your business money.

Why replace your boiler?

Older, conventional, boilers can be wasteful of energy and costly to run because a significant portion of the heat is lost up the flue/chimney. The latest models of high efficiency boilers capture more of this heat and stop it from leaving the system.

What should you do?

  • Start by reviewing the building's heating demand. Check your business needs against all technical, financial and policy requirements.
  • Unless you are replacing the entire heating system, the new boiler must be compatible with the system in place.
  • Replacing a conventional boiler with a condensing model can save 10-20% of your annual energy costs.
  • It may make sense to install a modular boiler system to meet a variety of heating demands.
  • It may be necessary to upgrade the heating controls of the system to get the best from the new boiler.
