What are the sun, moon and lightning symbols used in the graphs in the Smarter Home app?

In winter-time, "off peak" electricity is from 11pm to 8am. In summer-time, the “off-peak” hours are midnight until 9am. This time change occurs when the clocks change twice a year, in autumn and in spring.

On the ‘Your home’ screen, in the top right-hand corner you will see an icon that indicates what period of the day you are currently in. These same icons are used in the various graphical displays throughout the app to indicate the usage in each of these periods.

For users on a standard 24hr tariff, the day & night unit rates will be identical. Dual tariff customers will see differing rates for day and night.

Standing charge is applied daily in the app and is based on your monthly standing charge & PSO levy divided into a daily charge.
