We are delighted to announce that we are reducing our electricity unit prices by 2.5 per cent and gas unit prices by 11.5 per cent, effective from 1st April 2020 for our 1.2 million residential customers.
This reduction will benefit our average residential electricity customers with a reduction of €22 (including VAT) per year and our average residential gas customers with a reduction of €78 (including VAT) per year. This is a combined annual reduction of €100 for dual fuel customers.
Commenting on the price reduction, Marguerite Sayers, Executive Director, Electric Ireland said:
“We know value continues to be important to our customers so we are delighted to reduce prices for our 1.1 million residential energy customers. This is Electric Ireland’s largest reduction in gas prices since we began selling gas and means our dual fuel customers will benefit from a combined reduction of €100 per year.
In addition, we provide customers with a long-standing discount rate that doesn’t disappear after a year, innovative new products and the right energy advice. This demonstrates our commitment to offering great value and service in a very competitive market.”
We are committed to helping more than 1 million homes and businesses make changes for a brighter energy future.
