Terms and Conditions

  1. General

    The promoter is Electric Ireland, 2 Swift Square, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9 (hereinafter “the Promoter”). Electric Ireland is the customer supply business unit of Electricity Supply Board (“ESB”). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Promotion and/or these Terms and Conditions of the Promotion at any time and for any reason. By entering, Participants will be deemed to have accepted, and be bound by, these Terms and Conditions. To qualify for the Promotion, participants must comment and answer the question correctly under the Electric Ireland post. Competition entries are limited to one per customer/entrant/household. In the event of any dispute regarding this Promotion, the conduct or results of the Promotion or any other matter relating to the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter will be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by the Promoter. Facebook and Twitter This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook or Twitter. This is an Electric Ireland promotion.

  2. Promotion Entrants

    The Promotion is open only to residents in the Republic of Ireland, who are aged 18 years or over. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entrants’ eligibility and may ask for proof of identity, residency and age which shall be deemed satisfactory at the sole discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a prize winner is disqualified from the Promotion, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, select an alternative prize winner in the same manner as the original prize winner and such selection shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. Promotion entries must be made by Friday 1st July 2022.

  3. Prize Winners

    One prize winner shall be chosen at random to receive a pair of tickets to the Electric Ireland GAA All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship Final. There is 1 prize to be won. Prize winners shall be notified via the social media channel on which they entered - Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. The winner must be contactable in order to claim their prize and confirm their details. Prizes will be delivered by email/digital format.

  4. Prizes may be subject to changes

    If a prize winner declines the prize, or cannot claim the prize in full, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner in accordance with rule X of these Terms and Conditions.

    Prizes are non-transferable and NO CASH ALTERNATIVES OR REFUNDS WILL BE OFFERED. Prize does not include transportation, meals or accommodation.

    The Promoter may post the prize winner’s name on its website and social media accounts, including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Winners will have three options of what details they are happy with being posted:

    a. Name and Surname from County e.g. Mary Smith, Co. Longford b. Name from County e.g. Mary, Co. Longford c. Winner in County e.g. Winner in Longford

  5. Data Protection

    Data collected for this Promotion will be used in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and not for any other purpose. Data collected from Competition Entrants will be stored on secure servers for no longer 90 days.

  6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter (including the Promotion), existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law.

    The Courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter, existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
